Welcome to the Holy Rosary School web page, and thank you for your interest in Holy Rosary School in Duryea. 

I am very proud of our school, and honored to be its principal. We are a Catholic faith community that has been blessed.  Each day, we have the privilege of learning about our God and our Catholic faith.  We speak Jesus’ name freely, joyfully, and without fear.  Each day we have the opportunity to become closer to Him. This is our first and greatest blessing.   Our local pastor, Father Rokosz, and the pastors of the several neighboring parishes, as well as the Oblates of Saint Joseph are Holy Rosary School’s second blessing.  Their commitment to Catholic education is unwavering; their care and concern for our school, undiminished.  their kind and gentle leadership is an inspiration, and I am challenged daily to see the world through their faith-filled eyes.

Our third blessing is the Holy Rosary School community.  I am very proud of the work we do here.  Each and every member of the faculty and staff at Holy Rosary has made a commitment to Catholic education, and to the children we serve.  Their commitment is the cornerstone of the children’s education and our hope for the future.

Finally, our fundamental blessings are the families of our school.   By enrolling their children in Holy Rosary School, they have committed themselves to Catholic education.  They have proven they believe, as we do, that faith formation is our ultimate and joint mission.  Together, we strive to plant the seed of faith in each child: a seed that will endure today, tomorrow and for eternity.  This is an awesome responsibility, and we dedicate ourselves to it.    For our part, we create and nurture a community in which children are loved, are responsible for their actions, and are physically and emotionally safe.  On the parents’ part, we ask them to be dedicated to the physical, spiritual and financial commitment they have undertaken.  As we honor these responsibilities, we are challenged to grow as a faith community with a mutual mission: excellence for each child!
