The Student Liturgy
Committee of Holy Rosary School was created in order to give interested students
an opportunity to discuss liturgy and worship with piers and faculty in order
that a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Sacred Mysteries could be
arrived at. Begun in 1999 in preparation for the Great Jubilee of
A.D.2000, it answers the call from students to "have a say" in how the Church's
Year of Grace is celebrated by our school family.

Our goals are simple...
 |
to enable students to participate in faith-sharing, liturgical planning and
preparation;
|
 |
to create within the student body a strong sense of "belonging" to the
gathered assembly;
|
 |
to bring about a greater feeling of
relevance and importance regarding the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Liturgy of
the Hours, and other forms of liturgical and devotional worship in the heart of each student;
|
 |
to give students a greater understanding and
appreciation for the work of the bishop, priests and deacons who lead them at
the Altar of God.
